Description
On Narada's many travels, he went to Lanka, where he encountered Lanka Lakshmi, the divine entity who is Lanka's guardian from invaders.
When he saw her he sang a quick poem about her (which may have gone soemthing like this...) :
........................
"On the shores of Lanka, invaders dare not to tred.
And, dare, if they do, they must be wrong in the head."
"For the city of Lanka has a protector,
that smites all evil before they even enter."
"Lanka Lakshmi, as divine as she is deadly,
stands outside the walls, ever ready."
"To defeat her in battle, none can succeed.
Even armies have fled back in hasty retreat."
"From when she stood, no one has passed since.
but soon one will. An Ayodhyan Prince."
......................
Narada was singing of Prince Rama entering Lanka to bring back his kidnapped wife, Sita. Since Narada can see he into ones past, present and future, when he looks at someone, he foretold Lanka Lakshmi's defeat, for Rama's cause.
